CollegeHumor's Top 100 Comedy Movies Of All Time →

Although the order is somewhat off (Ghostbusters not in the top 10?), I’d call these the top 100 comedy movies of all time.

Requiem for a Dream was robbed.

I can honestly say I’ve seen all of these except Kick Ass. The Big Lebowski would be my choice for number one.

Reasons Why I Love Battlestar Galactica:

Beautiful BSGers

Before I begin, I have only watched up to the end of Season 3 of this show. I don’t know everything about BSG and I don’t want to be told what happens in the end.

So here’s this group of people who escaped their homeworlds from an evil yet beautiful race of machine-people called cylons. The cylons, which are stronger and smarter than humans (because they’re machines), are also invincible, and aren’t supposed to have emotions. How do these humans keep surviving? Here’s how:

  1. The people who escaped from the 12 colonies, or the worlds that were seized by cylons, are also beautiful. They’re the finest random bunch of human beings I’ve ever seen on a TV program set in space.
  2. Somehow these people manage to remain showered, sexy, and ready to jump into battle even though they were suddenly thrown into space and removed from years of living life on a world with gravity/day and night/families… need I go on? It’s almost UNREAL.
  3. Humans can jump from place to place in their big ol’ ships. It’s kind of cool seeing them disappear from space and reappear in what looks like the exact same plot of space, except it must be different because a second ago the ship just disappeared. Space all looks the same to me. Also teleportation is one of those things I aspire to achieve.

Here’s some other things I like.

Every once in a while, they take an episode off of project cylon genocide to inform us of the questions we all are wondering about space life. Where does our food come from? Oh, algae planets? Awesome! How do you make crackers out of that?

Some of the people have accents, and most of them are of obvious ancestry.  I somehow assumed that everyone would be pretty mixed up in the future and we’d have settled for one way of speaking/ancestral identification. Like in Firefly. But I guess this makes sense too, even if some of the cylons are British.

I would write more, but I’m in the middle of an episode and the opening credits just came on (another reason why I like this show, they throw in the theme song whenever they want!). I’m a little juiced to watch S3 E14, so I’m outs. Gods bless!

To make us ladies feel better:

“Fat in the hip and thigh is more metabolically active during lactation than is fat in other deposits and is most resistant to weight loss, suggesting that this depot may be a useful reserve for reproduction.”

And you’ve already met these girls:

AND you’ve survived?

You get to spend the rest of your life knowing that deep down, you are actually THIS WOMAN:
